Phood | photography + food | Fernando Katayama

Since young age, the photographer Fernando Katayama has being playing with photography; even remember playing with an old Polaroid, in middle of the 70's. Using 35mm in late 80's, and spending hours in the dark room. And he saw the transformation of photography to the digital Era. Since then, it has been natural path to follow. 

 

In 2015, Phood was born. The Toronto based photographer specialized in food photography, headshot and portraits. For its success, Phood combines two of Fernando's main passions as essential ingredients.

 

Phood combines more ingredients in its work. As an architect, Fernando is always concerned about  design, composition, balance, and beauty.

 

Another key ingredient for the success of Phood is Fernando's extensive knowledge of marketing. His deep understanding of marketing is translated in his work according to the client's needs and intentions. 

 

As a chef, Fernando uses all his knowledge about food and cooking techniques to achieve the best result for the client's intent. Taking Food Photography to the next level.
